“ The service and overall friendly staff really do make a difference when dining out. The hostess greeted us super warmly and our server, Emily, was so attentive. We ordered crawfish and boiled shrimp. We did call first to ensure they had crawfish available. We thoroughly enjoyed both, and they were hot and cooked perfectly. We then backtracked to the Jacked up Shrimp appetizer. Emily did not charge us for this appetizer because she felt we waited too long for it. We felt bad. Although we were anxious to go to the bar and enjoy two old-fashioned's. Once we ate the delicious jacked up shrimp, and closed out our dining check, we moved to the bar. Bailey served us wonderful drinks and continued Don's great "trademark" superior service. The restaurant is loaded up with Nonna Randazzo's king cakes in many flavor choices, $25 each. We purchased the pecan praline with cream cheese, with the full intent of taking two small slivers and dropping off the rest of it to a relative's house and give them the calories. The king cakes come with a coupon attached for a Don's free Zydeco shrimp app ( with purchase of a regular entree). ”

“ It was our first time there and it was fabulous. Paige was our waitress and she took amazing care of us. I have a severe food allergy and she went to the kitchen to make certain that nothing of my food would go anywhere near what I'm allergic to. She also noticed when my husband's drink was empty and replaced it before my husband even had a chance to ask for anymore. She was extremely attentive! We had a shrimp appetizer that was amazing. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the blackened red fish along with some crawfish and he was so happy. The food was delicious, the restaurant was attractive and clean. All of the people were nice. We will go back ”

The hush puppies were the best I've ever had, sweet and bready on the inside with a shatteringly crisp exterior. The oyster dinner was delicious, everything was fried to perfection. My only complaint is the gumbo -- it was thin and watery, just wasn't too great. But otherwise, I would definitely bring my friends here next time I find myself in Louisiana. ”
